Webinar: Strengthening the Role of Parliaments in Advancing Regional Trade Integration through the AfCFTA
The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) connects 1.4 billion people and a combined GDP of over USD 3 trillion. It has the potential to significantly increase intra-African trade, accelerate industrialization and enable inclusive development across the continent.
National Parliaments play a decisive role in advancing AfCFTA implementation by ensuring policy alignment, providing legislative oversight and fostering accountable governance.
Recognizing this, the SADC Parliamentary Forum (SADC PF) together with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) is hosting a virtual capacity building webinar to empower lawmakers in supporting the AfCFTA agenda.

Webinaire: Renforcer le rôle des Parlements dans l’avancement de l’intégration commerciale régionale à travers la ZLECAf
La Zone de libre-échange continentale africaine (ZLECAf) contribue à l’intégration économique du continent ainsi qu’à la création d’opportunités commerciales et de croissance inclusives. Les Parlements ont un rôle essentiel dans la ratification, l’harmonisation des lois et le contrôle parlementaire des engagements liés à la ZLECAf.
Dans ce cadre, le Forum parlementaire de la SADC (SADC PF) et la CNUCED organisent un webinaire en ligne pour renforcer les connaissances des parlementaires sur les enjeux et avantages de l’intégration commerciale régionale.
